Genetic regulation of protein expression during immune cell development in human neonates
Our project investigates the role of cis-regulatory genetic variants on blood protein expression during perinatal immune cell development in human neonates. To do this, we use the Munich Preterm and Term clinical (MUNICH-PreTCl) birth cohort.
As well as mass spectrometry-based blood proteomes, we will generate genome-wide genotypes of single nucleotide polymorphisms for proteomic in silico cell type deconvolution of the human neonatal immune system with a focus on neutrophils.
